Screen Off Memo
Notes can be saved onto your Note 8 screen, then interacted with, without having to fully unlock.
Using the sAMOLED always-on display, you can literally just take out the S-Pen and start writing to create a new Memo. When finished, you have the choice to save the memo as instantly accessible and editable on the lock screen or save it into the Notes app.
Whilst using the Note 8, there are several occasions when you can pull out the S Pen and use it to interact with the screen.
Capture and annotate - Found a long article online that you don't have time to read fully? Use the S-Pen to save the page as a single image that you can view later. You can even mark up and annotate on the screen, before saving the image.
Translate - Simply highlight key words or phrases and have them translated into your native language immediately. This feature can also perform instant unit conversions, such as Imperial to Metric or currencies.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 features an all new Dual Sensor camera set up.
The first camera utilizes a wide-angle lens to better capture landscapes and group shots. The second camera then has a telephoto lens for 2x optical zoom. Using both cameras can enhance the depth of field and provide some incredible software tricks.
In a world first, OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) is now included in both cameras! This will better stabilise still photography and video recording.
Using Live Focus, you can adjust foreground focus and background blur in real time and after an image has been taken. The Bokeh effect this creates is sought after by many and adds a professional layer of shine to even amateur photography.
This works by the camera system taking two simultaneous images - Dual Capture - so you have both a wide-angle shot and a closer, more intimate capture of every scene. Even when taking a 'normal' picture, an extra wide-angle image is saved, just in case you missed something in the background!
Low light capture
Using a f/1.7 aperture and large 1.4µm pixels for both main sensors, the Note 8 has excellent low-light performance, capturing fine details and colour contrasts in dark environments that would be unshootable with other smartphone cameras.
Turn the camera around and you can experience the 8MP selfie camera. This also features a f/1.7 aperture and uses Smart Auto Focus to best capture quick shots.

Samsung Bixby Assistant
Bixby is a mobile assistant that differs to the competition. different. Rather than simply answering questions or providing you with product lists, Bixby is designed to actually help you use your phone.
The system delivers helpful, context-sensitive suggestions that depend on what you may be doing with your Galaxy Note 8 at the time.
You can launch Bixby at any time. A dedicated button is available on the side of the Note 8. New Quick Commands allow you to customise Bixby button so you can launch specific apps or complex scenarios via a custom voice command.
For instance, a custom command could be "Food Photo". Simply press the Bixby button, say the phrase, and the phone can do all of the following: Open the camera app, switch to 'food mode', take the picture, upload it to your Instagram and gallery apps and even tag it to a specific folder!
The new assistant will also work as a situationally aware Augmented Reality agent. With the camera open and Bixby active, you can gain extra information about landmarks or local points of interest. Perhaps the area's history will show on screen or opening times and menus will be offered.
You could even translate a foreign road sign into your native language then ask for maps to route you there, all by pointing the camera and asking!
Locations can be saved and alerts created for specific events. For instance, if you find a long article on your lunch break that you would like to read later, you can activate Bixby and ask it to remind you about it an hour after you get home.
3rd party integration is also available and expanding. One example is Google Play Music; you can set reminders for new tracks or albums from artists.
Bixby also has its own home page as a dedicated system app. This provides an overview of all the events, locations, alerts and reminders you have set, all presented in a simple card interface and intelligently grouped to make searching easier.
Samsung KNOX & Biometric Security
The KNOX system has been the gold standard in Android security for many years. KNOX is used by companies the world over to manage Samsung devices. It can also be used at a personal level as well.
KNOX provides a siloed environment for documents, images, app data - whatever you want to keep safe can be stored and encrypted separately to other data.
On top of the now common fingerprint scanner, Galaxy Note can use facial recognition and iris scanning to secure your personal information.
Standard Warranty Period:

If the goods are found to be faulty within 7 days, customers are entitled for either a full refund or replacement. Any item may be returned for any reason within 7 days from the date of dispatch. If you want to return the goods which are NON-DEFECTIVE within the 7 days period, please note that the returns should be in AS NEW CONDITION with FULL PACKING and DOCUMENTATION. If the goods are not in AS NEW condition or missing any packaging or damaged packaging, we reserve the right to refuse refund or a restocking fee of up to 20% will be charged depending on the condition of the returned goods. Delivery costs will not be refunded. To return the goods, please contact our Customer Service to request an RMA and follow the instructions to authorise the return of goods. If the goods are found to be faulty after 7 days and within 1 month of purchase, the customer can send the faulty goods to our office, together with relevant invoice and PDAPlaza can arrange for repair services. Post fault investigation and within the specified warranty period, PDAPlaza repair service will be actioned at our discretion (please see Exclusions below) within 30 working days, at no cost to the customer. If PDAPlaza cannot repair the item within this period we will supply the customer with a suitable B-Stock item. If we do not have suitable B-Stock to replace we will source an equal alternative upon agreement with the customer or offer credit for the next purchase. For repair services covered by the warranty, the cost of shipping the goods back to the customer will be borne by PDAPlaza. Please contact our Customer Service to request an RMA and follow the instructions to authorise the return of goods. Please refer to the Returns section below for details.
If the goods are found to be faulty after 1 month of purchase, the customer can send the faulty goods to our office, PDAPlaza will arrange for repair services. Customer has to bear the repair costs. PDAPlaza will test the faulty unit and will provide a quote to the customer and if the customer agrees, we will proceed to repair the faulty unit as we see fit. If not, this will be communicated and the device will be returned to the customer, unrepaired. There will be a nominal shipping and handling charge on top of the repair charges. Shipping charges for returning the items shall be borne by the customers if they decide against repair.

A. Manufacturing software malfunction
B. Manufacturer or hardware defects
C. More than three dead pixels
Standard Warranty Exclusions:
Warranty does not cover the following:
A. Any damages unrelated to manufacturing defects.
B. Product malfunction or damage resulting from liquids or moisture.
C. CID (Customer Induced Damage) and NDF (No Defect Found). CID and NDF status will be notified to the customer when RMA inspection process is completed.
D. Software defects. Damage caused by applications or firm wares which are not compatible with the device.
E. Product has been tampered, repaired and/or modified without official permission. Tampering, rooting, modification or removal of the serial number label shall immediately void the applicable warranty.
Inspection and return shipping fee will be charged at the customer expense when the above causes of RMA return damages are present.

Products should be returned in their original packaging with all documentation, accessories, battery, stylus, cable, headset etc. enclosed in the initial shipment.
When you return your device, you will need to make sure that it is unlocked and free of security software that might prevent us from being able to access it. If the device is locked or disabled when you return it, we may have to charge you the full cost of the device and/or not process a repair/refund (if applicable).
Note: If you are not able to unlock or deactivate your device, please let us know before returning.
Please be sure that your device is restored to its factory settings without any personal data remaining prior to return. We will not be responsible for any use or disclosure of any data that is on the returned device during the assessment and repair process.
